What personal data we collect and why

Orders

When you place an order on the shop, we collect your name, delivery and billing
address, email address, phone number, and details of the products ordered. This
information is used to process your order, keep you informed of its status, and meet
our legal and accounting obligations. We keep this information for as long as
necessary for these purposes, including our accounting and tax obligations (10 years).

Payment

Payments on miracle-cups.com are processed by WooCommerce Payments,
powered by Stripe. We never store your card details on our servers — they are
transmitted directly and securely to our payment provider. See Stripe’s privacy
policy: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy.

Basket reminders

If you enter your email address at checkout without completing your order, we may send you two reminder emails about your basket, 1 hour and then 24 hours after your last visit. To do this we use your email address and the contents of your basket, on the basis of our legitimate interest in helping you finish a purchase you started; a notice below the email field tells you about it. Each email includes a link to opt out of these reminders.

Customer account

If you create an account, we store your name, email address and password
(encrypted), as well as your order history. You can view, change or delete this
information at any time from your “My account” area.

Cookies and trackers

Cookies needed for the service. The basket and checkout use a session cookie (2 days), and a cookie remembers your chosen language (1 year). They are essential to the service you ask for.

Order source. For the length of your visit, WooCommerce notes where you came from (search engine, advert, another website) so that it can be linked to your order. These cookies belong to our site and are deleted when you close your browser.

Secure payment. On product pages, the basket and checkout, our payment provider Stripe, with the hCaptcha anti-bot service it uses, sets cookies used to detect fraud. On the basket and checkout, the Sift fraud-prevention service sets some too. The longest last more than a year.

Advertising measurement. We use the Meta pixel (Facebook, Instagram): it records the pages and products viewed, searches, items added to the basket, checkout starts and purchases. It is used to measure how well our adverts work and to show them to people likely to be interested, including people who have already visited the shop. It sets a _fbp cookie and, if you arrive from a Meta advert, a _fbc cookie (90 days each). Our server also sends these events to Meta, with your IP address and browser type; any contact details included, such as your email address when you buy, are hashed (a one-way transformation).

Google Ads. The Google Ads tag measures orders coming from Google. For visitors in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, it works without advertising cookies.

Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (without the session cookie, the basket no longer works). You can also adjust the adverts you see in your Meta settings (facebook.com/adpreferences) and Google settings (myadcenter.google.com).

Who we share your data with

Your data is shared only with the following providers:

  • WooCommerce Payments / Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention (with hCaptcha and Sift)
  • Klarna Bank AB — pay in instalments, if you choose it
  • Colissimo — delivery of your order (name and address passed on for shipping)
  • Hostinger International Limited — site hosting (61 Lordou Vironos Street, Lumiel Building, 4th floor, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus)
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd — measuring and showing our adverts (Meta pixel)
  • Google Ireland Ltd — measuring orders coming from Google (Google Ads tag)

Some of these providers, including Stripe, Sift, Meta and Google, may process data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States, with the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses). We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.

Retention period

Your order data is kept for 10 years for accounting and tax purposes (legal
obligation). Your customer account data is kept for as long as your account is
active; you may request its deletion at any time. Basket reminder data (email address and basket contents) is kept for no more than 8 days; after that, only a one-way cryptographic fingerprint of your address is kept for 30 days, so that we never remind you twice, and indefinitely if you opt out, to respect that choice. Data collected by the Meta pixel and the Google Ads tag is kept by Meta and Google under their own rules.

Your rights

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the
right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your personal data.
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@miracle-cups.com. As
SUPER B is a French company, you may also lodge a complaint with the French data
protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), if
you believe your rights are not being respected.

Data security

The site is protected by an SSL/TLS security certificate (encrypted connection).
Your payment data never passes through our servers and is processed exclusively by
our PCI-DSS certified payment provider.
